News Alert
May Board Meeting
The next RDTA Board meeting will be Tuesday, May 22 (4th Tuesday of the month) at the Travis Ranch Activity Center. The Homeowners' Forum starts at 6:45pm. Agenda available online.

Door Paint Colors
If you have painted your Garage Pedestrian Entry Door or Door Fame any color other than the "authorized colors" as in the web page at rdta.org/paintcolors.htm, PrimeCo will not be repainting your door at the expense of RDTA unless you, as unit owner, send notification to RDTA via email (repair@rdta.org) or phone call (714 779-2084) to on-site liaison, Suzan Walter, no later than Thursday, May 31, 2012 that you wish said door and/or door frame to be painted and with a color selected by you from the "approved colors."

1. RDTA has hired PrimeCo to only paint the authorized colors. These colors for the building's color scheme can be found at rdta.org/paintcolors.htm.
2. Keep in mind that the frames for the pedestrian doors can also be painted authorized colors, unlike front entry door frames that must all be white.

Wood Repair/Painting Issues?
PrimeCo is currently doing wood repairs and painting of the wood on the exterior of all of our buildings. If any resident has any issues or concerns, please email a detailed description to repair@rdta.org. This information will be forwarded to those tracking and addressing all issues. We appreciate your input.

RDTA President, Cyndi Runge, died
With deepest sadness we report that our new RDTA Board of Directors president, Cyndi Runge, died in her sleep Friday, April 6. A memorial service was held Saturday, April 21. We send our heart-felt sympathy to Cyndi's family. For those who have expressed interest in making a charitable donation in Cyndi’s name, the family explained that they are waiting for the cause of death to be determined. At that time the charities will be selected. This is expected to happen in late May or early June.

New Board Officers
Because of the loss of Cyndi from the RDTA Board of Directors, the officer responsibilities have been revised to be...
President – Larry Powell
Vice President – Craig Lockwood
Secretary – Joe Shapley
Treasurer – Mark Schwing

Election Results
Mark Schwing and Craig Lockwood were elected to the RDTA Board of Directors for the term March 2012 through February 2014.

New Cardkeys
The new cardkey lock access system has been installed. You need a new cardkey to have access to the pool area, the tennis courts area, and the two rest rooms at the pool area. If you have not yet picked up your new cardkey, schedule an appointment with the on-site liaison by calling (714) 779-2084.

The process for picking up a new cardkey requires the owner (or adult representative of owner with note of authorization) to show photo ID and the old cardkey registered for that unit, receive the new cardkey, and sign a document verifying that the new cardkey was received.

Customization Rule Passed
The proposed rule change and licensing agreement that is the core of the new customization rule allows certain model units to have option to request landscape changes in Common Area. The rule and the procedures have been finalized.

The models that qualify for this customization option are:
* The one story end unit model Modjeska Plan 2A
* The two story, two bedroom unit model Silverado Plan 1
* The one story tall chimney unit Modjeska Plan 2B.

Here are links to the related documents:
* New Rule

New Parking/ Fire Lane Entrance Signs
Have you noticed the new combined parking/fire lane signs at the two Ramona entrances to our complex? They are posted on city street light poles. These two new signs legally inform you and visitors entering RDTA of the vehicle parking regulations.

We are pleased to have been able to remove the 17 old, unsightly parking and fire lane signs currently at the entrances to each of the RDTA private streets. What an improvement the removal of these signs will be for the aesthetics of our community. Remember that the two new entrance signs legally replace these multiple old signs throughout the complex.

These new combined parking/fire lane entrance signs are not a small matter. The project took two year of diligent work and coordination with multiple governmental agencies to get approval for this improvement to our community.

NOTE: Parking rules are NOT changing.
* All RDTA private streets are Fire Lanes – including in front of garage doors.
* Parking on RDTA private streets is ONLY in marked guest parking stalls.
* Overnight guests MUST be registered (safelisted) with our parking patrol service.
* Public parking is available on Ramona Road and Dominguez Ranch Road.

No Smoking Rule
As of April 21, 2011 there is a new rule in the RDTA Rules & Regulations that prohibits smoking anywhere on the RDTA Common Area.
Smoking is prohibited in or on all common areas (including the pool area, the tot lot, tennis courts and all outdoor common areas). For the purpose of this rule, the term "Smoking" means smoking of any kind (including, without limitation, cigarettes, cigars, or pipes).

Responsibility Matrix
Wondering if a maintenance or repair matter is your responsibility or RDTA's? Check out the Responsibility Matrix prepared by the attorney based on RDTA CC&Rs and other governing documents. Click here to see chart.

Dogs on Leash
The City of Yorba Linda and RDTA have strict regulations that your dogs must be on a leash at all times outside of your residence. It is important that there are no exceptions. This is for the protection of our residents AND protection of the pets.

° Reducing landscaping water usage.
° Replacing exterior lighting with lights that will conserve energy and be less expensive to operate.
